The Passover Lamb

The title of this piece is called the Passover lamb.
The media is oil paint on wooden panel. Painted in a traditional method on a Grizzell background with glazing media.
Dimensions are 30 x 26 cm
 
This painting was given to me by God during the Passover time.
God insisted that I painted this. I found it difficult at first to put together the imagery, however, after prayer and meditation God guided me to the pictures to put together this painting.
The lamb and the horizon of the dawn on the day of sacrifice.
The good Shepherd appeared in the painting to me first as a line and then the figure had a sheep draped over his shoulder.
This painting represents that the spotless Lamb which represents Jesus on the cross once and for all takes our sins for the world Upon himself for ever.
